Marriott Cafe: Flavors of Asia
Submitted by oureatdates at July 10, 2012 - 11:10 pmWhat a way to start the month… I attended this Bloggers’ Night for Flavors of Asia last Monday in Marriott Manila and got the chance to meet the chefs behind this oriental celebration happening for a month, (from L to R) JW Marriott Jakarta’s Dadang Wahyudi, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur’s Ruhizad Muri, JW Marriott Bangkok Thanatorn Krobsuay and Renaissance Riverside Saigon Phan Tien Hoa ~
We stayed at The Den for about an hour or so and enjoyed these refreshing Flavors of Asia beverages:
From L to R: Apolkat Shake (Avocado & Chocolate) – Indonesia
Teh Tarik (Black Tea & Condensed Milk) – Malaysia
Thai Lemongrass – Thailand
Limade (Fresh Lime Juice) – Vietnam
Right before Dinnertime, the chefs introduced themselves and presented their signature dishes that made us ready for Marriott Cafe.
All four chefs will also conduct a special cooking class for only P1, 500 net inclusive of a hearty lunch: July 9, Thai; July 16, Malaysian, July 23 Vietnamese; and July 30, Indonesian. If you wish to experience this treat that’s injected with fun and information, consider enjoying Asian cuisine by learning to cook it yourself!
I love buffet but I don’t normally get the urge to eat a lot. I just love and enjoy seeing food and how people (especially chefs) prepare what you mostly crave that can certainly make your fine dining experience a remarkable one. I personally recommend Marriott Cafe – the place and the wide variety of food is just perfect whether you have something to celebrate with your family, friends, colleagues, etc.
Oh well, at least, I still managed to get sweets…
